Catherine, Princess of Wales, has shared photographs of the moment she reunited with her family after completing the National Three Peaks Challenge.

The images show the Princess with her husband, Prince William, and their three children after finishing the challenge, which involves climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.

Kate completed the challenge to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, an organisation closely linked to her cancer treatment and recovery. The trek marks another step in her gradual return to public duties following her cancer diagnosis in 2024 and her announcement that she was in remission earlier this year.

Among the photographs is an embrace with Prince William, while others show Kate with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Another family photograph includes her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and her brother, James Middleton.

Alongside the images, Kate thanked those who supported the fundraising effort.
“This time last week, completing the National Three Peaks Challenge,” she wrote before expressing her gratitude to everyone who donated to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and encouraging continued support for the cause.

According to Kensington Palace, Kate is believed to be the first member of the Royal Family to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge. The route includes Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales, all climbed within a 24-hour period.

During the trek, the Princess also met 11-year-old Ted Haslam, a wheelchair user who was taking on the challenge with support from his family and friends to raise money for a children’s charity. Kate later donated to his fundraising campaign.

The British royal family gathered at Windsor Castle on Monday for the annual Order of the Garter ceremony, with Princess Kate joining King Charles and Queen Camilla for an unannounced appearance at the event.

While King Charles, Prince William and other members of the order wore the traditional blue velvet robes and feathered hats associated with the centuries-old ceremony, Princess Kate was among the most closely watched attendees. Her attendance had not been announced in advance, and she joined other senior royals at Windsor for the event.

Kate watched the procession led by the King. Although she is not a member of the Order of the Garter, she was attending the ceremony for the tenth time.

For this year’s event, the Princess of Wales wore a custom butter-yellow coat dress by British designer Patrick McDowell. The outfit was created using silk damask woven by textile manufacturer Stephen Walters & Sons. She completed the look with a wide-brimmed hat, neutral accessories and the diamond earrings she wore on her wedding day to Prince William in 2011.

King Charles and Queen Camilla joined other senior royals throughout the day following last week’s Trooping the Colour celebrations. The monarch took part in the traditional procession of Knights and Ladies of the Garter before attending the service at St George’s Chapel.

The Order of the Garter is Britain’s oldest and most senior order of chivalry. Kanya King, the founder of the MOBO Awards and a leading figure in the British music industry, has died at the age of 57 following a battle with colon cancer.

Born in Kilburn, north-west London, to a Ghanaian father and Irish mother, King faced significant challenges when bringing the idea to life. She remortgaged her home to help fund the first MOBO Awards ceremony after struggling to secure industry backing. The inaugural event went on to receive national television coverage and established the awards as a new fixture on the UK music calendar.

Over the years, the MOBO Awards became an important platform for artists including Stormzy, Dave, Craig David and Little Simz. The ceremony also reflected the growing popularity of genres such as grime and Afrobeats, helping to bring wider attention to artists working within those genres.

King’s contribution to music and culture was recognised in 2018 when she was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). She was also involved in programmes aimed at supporting emerging talent and creating opportunities for young people interested in careers within the music industry.

In 2024, King revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Following her diagnosis, she spoke publicly about the disease and encouraged people to seek medical advice if they noticed potential symptoms.

King is survived by her family and leaves behind an organisation that has played a significant role in recognising and celebrating Black music in the United Kingdom for nearly 30 years.
