Rich Paul has reignited speculation about his marital status with Adele after referring to the singer as his wife in a new video. The comment has prompted fresh questions about whether the couple have already married privately, although neither has announced a wedding.

The 45-year-old sports agent appeared in a video shared by The Media Haus Co. on October 25, taking part in a challenge to find as many words as possible in a 60-second word search. During the exchange, interviewer Rel Tait asked Paul when he last completed one.

“It’s been a while. But my wife do ’em every day, every morning,” he replied, apparently referring to Adele.

Paul did not elaborate on the remark, leaving the couple’s marriage status unclear.

The pair have been romantically linked since 2021, when they were first spotted together at an NBA Finals game. Their relationship became public shortly afterwards, although both have largely kept details of their private life away from the media.

Adele had previously fuelled marriage rumours during her Las Vegas residency in September 2023, when she referred to Paul as her husband while discussing his interest in American football. She also made headlines after responding to a fan who asked her to marry them by indicating that she was already spoken for.

In August 2024, Adele gave the strongest indication yet that marriage was on the cards when she confirmed their engagement during a performance in Munich, Germany. A fan had held up a sign asking the singer to marry them. Adele responded that she could not because she was already getting married, before showing off her engagement ring.

Despite confirming their engagement, neither Adele nor Paul has publicly announced a wedding or shared details of a marriage ceremony.

Paul’s latest comment has added to the speculation, but it does not confirm that the couple have legally married. Whether they have exchanged vows privately remains unknown.

Olivier Martinez Addresses Son Maceo’s Relationship With Mother Halle Berry

Olivier Martinez has spoken about his hopes for his son Maceo’s relationship with Halle Berry, saying he wants the teenager to maintain a loving bond with his mother despite the former couple’s ongoing custody dispute.

The French actor made the comments following a court hearing in Los Angeles, where a judge ruled on the latest developments in their legal proceedings. Although Martinez retained temporary primary physical custody of their 13-year-old son, he said he hoped Berry and Maceo would eventually improve their relationship.

Speaking to Extra, Martinez said: “I truly hope Maceo and his mother will be able to have a better relationship in the future.

“I don’t want my son to hate his mum. I want him to love her. I want him to forgive her. And I want them to reconcile in some sort at one point.”

His comments came after Martinez accused Berry of physically assaulting Maceo during an incident at her home on 26 September. According to court documents, he alleged that the actress had put her hands around their son’s neck and choked him during an altercation.

Martinez claimed the incident began when Berry entered Maceo’s room while he was playing a virtual reality game. He alleged that their son contacted him during the confrontation and asked to be collected from his mother’s home.

Berry has denied the allegations. In her court response, she disputed Martinez’s account of the incident, saying that the two had been play-wrestling. She specifically denied putting her hands around Maceo’s neck, choking him or restricting his breathing. Her legal team also described Martinez’s claims as misleading and without merit.

The allegations prompted Martinez to seek an emergency change to their existing custody agreement. On 1 October, he was granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Berry, alongside temporary primary physical custody of Maceo. He also requested sole legal and physical custody and restrictions on Berry’s contact with their son.

Berry challenged the order and asked the court to restore the 50-50 physical custody arrangement they had previously shared. She also disputed Martinez’s account of their son’s experiences while in her care.

On 29 October, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Shelley Kaufman dissolved the temporary restraining order against Berry and denied Martinez’s request for a permanent domestic violence restraining order. The judge, however, left the temporary custody arrangements in place.

Under the arrangement, Martinez retains primary physical custody, while Berry can spend time with Maceo on Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as on alternate weekends. Her visits are limited to 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with overnight stays at her home not permitted. The former couple will continue sharing legal custody.

The court also ordered Berry and Maceo to attend 12 sessions of joint therapy within six months, once a therapist has been appointed. A further hearing to appoint the therapist is scheduled for 4 November. The custody arrangements are expected to be reviewed in November.

Berry’s 18-year-old daughter, Nahla Aubry, whom she shares with former partner Gabriel Aubry, also submitted a declaration supporting her mother. She said she had never witnessed Berry act violently towards anyone or physically abuse Maceo.

Maceo also testified during the proceedings. Details of his testimony have not been made public.

Berry and Martinez married in July 2013 after meeting on the set of the film Dark Tide. They separated in 2015, and their divorce was finalised in August 2023. Their original custody agreement provided for joint legal and physical custody of Maceo.

The former couple are expected to return to court in November as the judge reviews the temporary parenting arrangements.

Chris Brown Handed Suspended Prison Sentence Over London Nightclub Attack

Published

Chris Brown has received an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, over an attack on music producer Abraham Diaw at a London nightclub in February 2023. The American singer, 37, pleaded guilty to affray at Southwark Crown Court in July 2026 and was sentenced on 26 October.

The case centred on an incident at Tape, a private members’ club in Mayfair, where Brown was accused of striking Diaw with a tequila bottle during a confrontation on the dance floor.

Judge Tony Baumgartner described the attack as dangerous, highlighting the use of a bottle against Diaw’s head. The court considered the seriousness of the assault alongside Brown’s guilty plea, personal circumstances and previous convictions when determining his sentence.

CCTV footage presented in court showed Brown striking Diaw four times with the bottle. Two blows connected with his head, while another struck his shoulder. The footage formed part of the evidence examined during the proceedings.

The incident occurred at around 3am and lasted approximately 20 seconds. Diaw sustained head and knee injuries and received hospital treatment.

Brown’s vocal coach, Omololu Akinlolu, also known as HoodyBaby, was involved in the attack. Prosecutors told the court that Akinlolu punched Diaw and kicked him while he was on the floor. Akinlolu received a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

Brown and Akinlolu pleaded guilty to affray on 24 July 2026. The pleas brought an end to proceedings over the incident without a trial on the more serious charges. Those charges included attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon in Brown’s case. The prosecution dropped the relevant charges following the guilty pleas.

Brown’s lawyer, Sallie Bennett-Jenkins, presented mitigating factors during sentencing, including his guilty plea, employment and charitable work. The defence also referred to his circumstances in support of a suspended sentence.

The singer had faced the possibility of a prison term of up to three years before the case was resolved through the guilty plea. Instead, the court imposed an eight-month sentence that will remain suspended for 12 months, subject to the applicable legal conditions.

The case had been under investigation for more than two years before Brown was arrested at a hotel in Manchester on 15 May 2025. He was in the UK ahead of scheduled tour performances when officers detained him in connection with the nightclub incident.

Brown was subsequently released on £5 million bail, allowing him to continue his professional commitments while the case proceeded. His arrest drew renewed attention to the investigation, which had remained unresolved since the February 2023 incident.

The London case is separate from Brown’s 2009 conviction for assaulting his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna. He received probation and was ordered to complete community labour in that case. The conviction has remained a significant part of his public record, but the proceedings involving Diaw concerned a separate incident and resulted in a distinct conviction for affray.

Under the terms of the latest sentence, Brown will not serve the eight months in prison immediately. However, the suspended sentence means he could face imprisonment if the relevant conditions are breached during the 12-month period.

The ruling concludes the sentencing stage of the London nightclub case. Brown has admitted his role in the incident through his guilty plea and has received a suspended prison sentence rather than immediate custody.
