Forty Love follows rising tennis player Sacha Gallo, played by Paul Kircher, as he prepares for a major tournament in Paris under the guidance of his father. The story centres on the relationship that develops when a new rival enters his life. The film explores the connection between the two players alongside the pressures of professional sport.

The film is directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti, a fashion photographer making his feature directorial debut. Carlotti co-wrote the screenplay, and the cast also includes Catherine Deneuve. The production is backed by Chi-Fou-Mi Productions, with Studiocanal and Manna Studios serving as co-producers.

For Beckham, the role represents another career shift. After spending parts of his youth in football systems linked to Arsenal, Inter Miami and Brentford, he increasingly focused on fashion, working with luxury labels and appearing on major runways and campaigns.
