Lady Amelia Spencer Wears 80s-Inspired Mini Dress

Lady Amelia Spencer appeared in a structured black mini dress that draws on 1980s power dressing, defined by pronounced shoulder construction and sharp tailoring.
The dress carries a high neckline and long fitted sleeves that run in a straight line from shoulder to wrist. The shoulders are squared and slightly widened, creating a sculpted upper frame that serves as the dominant structural element of the design.

A narrow waist belt gathers the fabric gently at the midsection, sharpening the outline of the dress. The hem sits high on the thigh and includes a small side slit, allowing a modest shift in contour while maintaining the precise cut of the dress.
The styling was restrained, with sheer black tights and pointed black heels supporting the clean, tailored character of the dress.

The dress reflects modern eveningwear that revisits 1980s tailoring language, particularly the use of angular shoulders and concise hemlines. The pronounced shoulder line forms the most striking structural anchor of the design, directing attention towards the sculpted shoulder line and overall tailoring of the dress.
With no contrasting detailing, the dress relies on tailoring alone. The pronounced shoulders and defined waist create a structured outline that feels confident and refined. The black finish keeps the eye on the tailoring, particularly the strong shoulders, shaped waist and abbreviated length.

Demi Moore appeared at Milan Fashion Week with a noticeably shorter hairstyle, attending Gucci’s Autumn/Winter 2026 runway show at the Palazzo delle Scintille. The actor introduced a wavy bob cut that sits just below her jawline, marking a change from the waist-length hair she has worn for many years.

The style featured a side parting and a wet-look texture, giving the cut a relaxed but structured finish. The shorter length shifts her usual red carpet image and places the focus more sharply on the shape of the cut.

The haircut was created by hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos. It was designed to complement the direction of Gucci’s latest collection under creative director Demna Gvasalia, aligning with the clean lines and darker tones presented on the runway.

Moore wore a black leather outfit styled by Brad Goreski, consisting of a fitted jacket and slim trousers. She completed the look with pointed heels, oversized sunglasses and a structured handbag. The all-black styling kept the attention on the shape and texture of both the outfit and the hair.

Joining her at the show was her Chihuahua, Pilaf, who sat on her lap during parts of the presentation and appeared alongside her in photographs. The small dog has accompanied Moore to several public events in recent years and was once again a visual talking point among photographers and attendees.

Online reaction focused largely on the haircut, with some commentators praising the shorter style and others expressing surprise at the change. Moore has maintained long hair for decades, making the bob a noticeable departure from her established look.

Whether the shorter cut signals a longer-term shift in her style remains to be seen, but the appearance ensured that her front-row moment at Gucci drew attention during the fashion week schedule.

The Best Dressed After-Party Looks From the 2026 BAFTAs

Published

At the main ceremony of the British Academy Film Awards, the dress code was formal: full-length gowns, sharp tuxedos and structured dresses. By the time guests arrived at the after-parties, outfits changed. Trains disappeared, jackets came off, heels lowered, and lighter fabrics were chosen. The aim was straightforward: clothes that still looked put together but made sense for a crowded room and a late finish.

At events including the Warner Bros. celebration and the Vogue and GQ Fashion & Film party, styling choices were practical. Corseted dresses appeared in softer materials, tailoring was loosened, and high-shine satin was paired with leather or sheer layers. Instead of heavy embellishment, guests chose clean lines and strong cuts. The focus was on outfits that worked in smaller rooms and repeated photographs.

No single trend dominated. The most effective outfits suited the setting. The ceremony required formality; the parties required clothes that allowed movement and worked in close-up photographs. Those who stood out made practical choices that were appropriate for the event while still aligned with the tone of the evening.
