Jessie J has confirmed that she and longtime partner Chanan Safir Colman have ended their relationship after nearly five years together. The singer shared the news in an Instagram statement, revealing that they separated some time ago but chose to keep the decision private while they adjusted to life as co-parents.

The announcement comes three years after the couple welcomed their son, Sky, in May 2023. Jessie said they decided to share the news themselves instead of allowing rumours to spread. She described the split as “sad and difficult” and said their main priority is co-parenting their son.

The British singer also said there is no public feud behind the breakup and asked fans to respect their privacy. She explained that she wanted to address the separation herself to avoid false stories about their family.

Jessie and Colman began dating in 2021. The retired professional basketball player supported the singer through several major moments in her personal life, including her treatment for early-stage breast cancer. Earlier this year, Jessie announced that she was cancer-free after completing treatment.

The split follows a period of major change for the singer. Alongside motherhood and her recovery, Jessie returned to music and has spoken about how becoming a parent changed her outlook. She previously said marriage could be part of their future but that there was no pressure to rush into it, adding that she hoped Sky would be old enough to enjoy the occasion if they eventually married.

Although their romantic relationship has ended, Jessie and Colman said they remain committed to co-parenting their son. They have asked for privacy as they begin this new chapter while continuing to raise Sky together.

Halle Berry’s Ex-Husband Olivier Martinez Reportedly Walks Out of Court During Hearing

Olivier Martinez reportedly left a Los Angeles courtroom during a hearing in his ongoing custody dispute with former wife Halle Berry on Tuesday, 20 October. The proceedings concern their 13-year-old son, Maceo, and allegations of abuse that Berry has denied.

Martinez, 60, was described in reports as appearing agitated as he left the courtroom alongside his lawyer, Patrick Baghdaserians. The pair reportedly stepped out after a discussion and returned a short time later. Reports also alleged that profanity was heard during the exchange.

Martinez’s lawyer disputed suggestions that the actor had walked out in frustration. He said they had received permission to take a brief bathroom break and maintained that Martinez was satisfied with how the proceedings were going.

The incident occurred during a wider dispute over the former couple’s son. On 1 October, a judge granted Martinez a temporary domestic violence restraining order on behalf of himself and Maceo, restricting Berry’s contact with the teenager while the case proceeded.

In his court filing, Martinez alleged that Berry physically harmed Maceo during an incident at her home on 26 September. He claimed she put her hands around the teenager’s neck and choked him. Martinez also raised concerns about previous interactions between mother and son.

Berry denied physically abusing Maceo and disputed Martinez’s account of the September incident. She described what happened as playful roughhousing after her son took her phone, rejecting the allegation that she had choked him.

The competing accounts have not been established as findings of fact. The temporary order does not, in itself, prove that Martinez’s allegations are true.

Maceo testified on Monday, 19 October. The courtroom was closed during his testimony to protect the teenager’s privacy, and the contents of his evidence have not been made public.

Berry also testified on Tuesday, 20 October, as the hearing continued. A member of Maceo’s school staff was expected to give evidence about concerns raised regarding his behaviour at school. Martinez was also scheduled to testify.

Berry’s 18-year-old daughter, Nahla Aubry, whose father is model Gabriel Aubry, submitted a court declaration stating that she had never witnessed Berry physically abusing Maceo.

Martinez is seeking sole legal and physical custody of Maceo, while Berry wants to restore their shared-custody arrangement, established when their divorce was finalised in 2023.

Berry and Martinez married in July 2013 and welcomed Maceo later that year. They announced their separation in October 2015, although their divorce took several years to conclude. They have continued to share parental responsibilities since the end of their marriage.

The hearing will determine how the custody arrangements proceed as the court considers the evidence and the competing accounts of the September incident. Martinez’s reported departure from the courtroom has drawn attention, but the central issue remains the dispute over Maceo’s care and the allegations made by both sides.

Kaia Gerber Breaks Silence on Brother Presley’s Death in Emotional Statement

Kaia Gerber has paid tribute to her older brother, Presley Gerber, in an emotional statement recalling their childhood bond and the pain of losing him at 27.

The 25-year-old model and actress shared the tribute on Instagram on October 18, posting childhood photographs and a video of the siblings alongside a lengthy letter addressed to Presley, whom she called “Prez”.

“I don’t have the words. And maybe the tiny mercy is that we didn’t need them all along,” she wrote, reflecting on her struggle to make sense of his death. She also questioned what she could learn from his absence after describing him as her “ultimate teacher”.

Kaia remembered Presley as someone who continued to believe in people even when they treated him unkindly. She described his response to cruelty as one of confusion and curiosity, rather than anger.

One of the most revealing passages in her letter concerned a childhood memory. Kaia recalled being frightened before having her ears pierced, so Presley went first to help her feel less afraid. She remembered how he had always taken the lead, before reflecting on the moment she held the earring removed from his body after his death.

“I really f*cking wish you hadn’t gone first this time,” she wrote.

Kaia also described the difficulty of adjusting to a life in which she could no longer call her brother or share things with him as they once had. “I am learning how to love you when I cannot see you,” she wrote, acknowledging that she did not yet know how to navigate that absence.

She ended the tribute by reaffirming her enduring love for Presley, writing that she had been born loving him and would die loving him. She added that even knowing the grief she would eventually face, she would choose to be his sister all over again.

Her message came as their parents, supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, also publicly mourned their son. In a family statement shared on Instagram, they said they were heartbroken and described Presley as a kind and vulnerable person who was loved by many. They thanked those who had reached out to support them.

Presley died on September 20 at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California. He was 27. Santa Monica police investigated his death as a suspected overdose, while the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner said the official cause and manner of death had been deferred pending further testing. The cause has not been officially confirmed.

Presley had previously spoken publicly about his struggles with addiction and mental health. Through social media, including a series called Mental Health Mondays, he discussed his experiences in the hope that others facing similar difficulties would feel less alone.

In Vogue’s September 2026 issue, published shortly before his death, Kaia discussed how her brother’s struggles had affected their family. She said she had come to see him as someone who encouraged them to be more open about difficult experiences. She also reflected on how trying to hide such struggles could make a person feel that their family was ashamed of them.

Her latest tribute offered a more personal account of their relationship, centred on the memories they shared and the brother she had looked to throughout her childhood. For Kaia, the task now is to find ways to maintain that connection while coming to terms with his death.

Taylor Swift returned to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, October 18, to support Travis Kelce as the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Los Angeles Chargers. The singer watched from a suite alongside WNBA star Caitlin Clark and musician Este Haim, with the group cheering on Kelce during Kansas City’s 22-6 victory.

Swift wore a red turtleneck and matching lipstick in support of the Chiefs. Her blonde hair was styled in soft waves, and she was seen following the action from the suite with Clark and Haim.

Clark, who plays for the Indiana Fever, is a longtime Chiefs fan. Growing up in Des Moines, Iowa, she followed Kansas City partly because of her father’s support for the team. She previously joined Swift at Arrowhead Stadium in January 2025, when the Chiefs faced the Houston Texans in the NFL play-offs. The two celebrated as Kansas City secured a place in the next round.

Sunday’s game also brought a family reunion of sorts. Swift was photographed embracing Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, in the suite, where Clark and Haim were also watching the match. Swift has attended several Chiefs home games this season as she continues to support her husband.

Her appearance in Kansas City followed a busy Saturday in Los Angeles. Swift attended the Academy Museum Gala on October 17, where she wore a Dior gown before performing for guests. The event honoured filmmaker John Carpenter, actor Colman Domingo and actress Charlize Theron.

The trip marked a return to the Chiefs’ stands after Swift’s previous appearance at their September 20 game against the Indianapolis Colts. She had also attended the team’s season opener against the Denver Broncos on September 14. Sunday’s win over the Chargers extended Kansas City’s successful run at home.

For Clark, the game offered another chance to watch a team she has supported since childhood. For Swift, it was an opportunity to cheer on Kelce after a high-profile evening in Los Angeles. The singer’s appearance with Clark and Haim brought together friends from music and sport for an afternoon of NFL action.
