Naomi Campbell Teams Up with Tolu Coker for Spring 2026 Collection

Published

on

Naomi Campbell has joined forces with British-Nigerian designer Tolu Coker for her Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Unfinished Business. The collaboration is presented as a 15-minute short film rather than a traditional runway show, offering a fresh approach to showcasing fashion.

The film, co-directed by Tolu and her brother Ade Coker, stars Naomi Campbell alongside a cast of Black British women and girls. It tells the story of the collection through visual storytelling, highlighting garments designed for longevity and intergenerational use. Instead of following conventional fashion show formats, the film demonstrates how clothing can be part of personal and family narratives.

Coker’s design philosophy focuses on creating versatile and durable pieces. The collection includes upcycled leathers, deadstock cottons, natural fibers, tailored suits, wide-leg trousers, bombers, and a corseted dress with a double zipper. Each piece is intended to be worn across seasons and passed down, reflecting a practical yet thoughtful approach to design.

Campbell’s involvement extends beyond modelling. In the film, she reflects on her personal journey, stating, “I’ve been a mother to so many. It was time to mother my own.” Her participation complements Coker’s emphasis on storytelling and the significance of fashion in everyday life.

Unfinished Business represents a departure from typical fashion presentations. By using film, Coker and Campbell create a more intimate and considered experience for viewers, focusing on the practical, sustainable, and personal qualities of the collection rather than spectacle.

Rihanna Brings Back a Classic Y2K Outfit Combination

Rihanna is making a case for one of the most recognisable outfit combinations of the 2000s: a sporty zip-up jacket worn with a tiny denim skirt and heels.

The singer and Fenty Beauty founder was photographed in New York on 21 August while out with A$AP Rocky and their children. She wore a candy-pink Miu Miu track jacket with a dark-wash denim mini skirt by Meryll Rogge, bringing together two staples strongly associated with early-2000s dressing.

The Miu Miu jacket has a cropped fit, ribbed cuffs and hem, and contrasting cream stripes running along the sleeves. Rihanna wore it zipped most of the way up, with the collar turned up and her hands tucked into the pockets. The soft pink shade is also familiar territory for the era, recalling the pastel tracksuits and baby tees that were everywhere in the early 2000s.

The denim mini skirt gives the outfit its strongest Y2K reference. Its dark wash, low-rise cut and frayed edges are deliberately reminiscent of the decade, while the exposed white pocket linings add another detail to the otherwise simple denim piece. The skirt’s uneven hem, with a longer section falling at the front, keeps it from looking like a straightforward vintage throwback.

Then there are the shoes. Instead of trainers or flat sandals, Rihanna chose strappy snakeskin heels by Amina Muaddi. It is a small but important styling decision: the track jacket could easily have pushed the outfit towards casual sportswear, but the heels take it in a more dressed-up direction.

Her accessories continue the reference. She wore oversized rose-tinted aviator sunglasses, large hoop earrings and a broad gold choker, while carrying a black quilted bag. The jewellery and sunglasses are particularly suited to the outfit because they echo the larger accessories that were central to celebrity style at the time.

Rihanna kept the beauty look equally recognisable. Her hair was worn in voluminous curls, paired with a glossy brown lip and a deep red manicure. A white pedicure was visible beneath the open-toe heels.

The look also arrives during a week in which Rihanna has repeatedly returned to early-2000s fashion. Just days earlier, she wore a burnt-orange Chloé velour tracksuit for dinner in New York, complete with snakeskin sandals, oversized sunglasses and gold jewellery.

What makes this latest outfit worth noting is the way the pieces are mixed. The jacket is sporty, the skirt is deliberately tiny and distressed, and the heels belong to a completely different part of the wardrobe. Nothing is trying to make the outfit look like a perfectly matched set.

That approach is particularly relevant to the current return of 2000s fashion. Instead of bringing back every element of the decade at once, Rihanna has taken a familiar formula and adjusted it through proportion and accessories. The result is recognisably Y2K without relying on a head-to-toe recreation.

For anyone who remembers the original era, the combination will be immediately familiar. For those discovering the trend for the first time, Rihanna’s version offers a clear lesson in how to update it: keep the sporty jacket, bring back the mini skirt and let the shoes and accessories change the mood.

Harper Beckham’s Skincare Brand Reveals She’s Not Using ‘Beckham’

Harper Beckham is entering the beauty industry under a name that leaves one of the world’s most famous surnames off the label.

Trademark filings and media reports indicate that the 15-year-old’s skincare venture will trade as Harlo by Harper, rather than using the Beckham name. The branding sets the business apart from her parents’ established brands while giving it a distinct identity.

The move comes from a family with a long track record in fashion, sport and beauty. David Beckham has built a global business portfolio beyond football, while Victoria Beckham has expanded from fashion into cosmetics with her own beauty label. Reports describe Harper’s project as focusing on her own name instead of becoming another Beckham-branded venture.

The skincare line is expected to focus on products including facial cleansers and creams. Reports also suggest the range draws inspiration from South Korean skincare, which continues to shape product development across the global beauty industry.

According to Victoria Beckham, Harper’s interest in skincare began after experiencing acne linked to products that were too harsh for young skin. Victoria has said those experiences inspired discussions about creating skincare designed with teenagers in mind, eventually developing into the current business project.

The venture has already faced trademark hurdles. An earlier application for the name Hiku by Harper reportedly encountered objections in the United States because of similarities to existing trademarks. More recent filings for Harlo by Harper indicate the brand is moving ahead under its new name.

Although Harper Beckham’s surname is recognised around the world, her first business venture appears to place the emphasis on building recognition for Harlo by Harper instead. As preparations for the launch continue, attention will shift from the name behind the brand to the products themselves.
