The nomination comes after With Love, Meghan received mixed reviews when it premiered. While some viewers appreciated its relaxed approach to cooking, entertaining and gardening, others questioned whether it offered enough originality. Even so, the Television Academy recognised the series in a competitive category, marking a notable moment for the production.

Produced by Archewell Productions in partnership with Netflix, the series debuted in 2025. It follows Meghan as she shares recipes, home entertaining ideas, flower arranging tips and conversations with friends and well-known guests. Celebrity appearances from Mindy Kaling, Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, Jay Shetty and chef Roy Choi broadened the show’s appeal, while Prince Harry also made a brief appearance.

The series has become a key part of Meghan’s growing media and lifestyle ventures. Since stepping back from royal duties with Prince Harry, she has expanded her work to include podcasts, television projects and her lifestyle brand. With Love, Meghan brings those interests together by combining food, hospitality and home living in a single television format.

Following the announcement, Meghan marked the occasion on Instagram by congratulating the production team behind the series. She thanked the crew, producers and everyone involved in producing the show, describing the nomination as a shared achievement.

The recognition comes as the future of the Netflix series remains uncertain. While the programme has completed two seasons and later added a holiday special, there are currently no confirmed plans for a third season. Reports suggest future content linked to the brand could take the form of seasonal specials instead of another full season.

For Meghan, the nomination marks another step in a career that has changed considerably over the past decade. Before joining the British royal family, she was best known for playing Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits. Since leaving acting, she has focused on producing and hosting original content, making this her first Emmy recognition as a television creator rather than as an actress.

The winners of the 53rd Daytime Emmy Awards will be announced on 30 October 2026. Regardless of the result, the nomination has renewed interest in With Love, Meghan after months of debate over its reception. It also recognises Meghan’s work in lifestyle television through one of the medium’s leading awards programmes.
